Description:  We will focus on balancing preferences with gratitude while also working on skills to engender more harmonious interaction with others in our daily lives. We will utilize concepts and processes from Nonviolent Communication (NVC), developed by Marshall Rosenberg, Ph.D. and Robert Emmons on Gratitude. Qigong is a centuries-old system of coordinated slow-flowing exercises that enhance deep rhythmic breathing, preventative health and a calm state of mind. People practice qigong throughout China and worldwide for recreation, exercise, relaxation, preventive medicine, self-healing, alternative medicine, meditation, and self-cultivation. A lawn chair would be helpful but not absolutely necessary.

A staged reading featuring those who knew him best: Phoebe Hearst (a philanthropist and slightly indulgent mother), Julia Morgan (the architect who designed the Hearst Castle), Marion Davis (showgirl, mistress when he could never marry), Millicent Hearst (his wife who would not five a divorce), and many more including the voices of Joseph Pulitzer (a bitter enemy in the New York newspaper wars), George Hearst (the father who made all the money), Bill Hearst, Jr. (third son and the best of an unsuccessful brood), and of course, William Randolph Hearst, the builder of castles, a “yellow journalist”, a man with limitless ambition and wealth when, in the end ran out of money. This is a Zoom Webinar, a.k.a. Theatrocon performance with live actors and historical photos.
