Welcome to Ski Season 2007 - this could be your dream winter vacation year!!! There's a cabin on Donner Lake available to us from another BAC ski club for $30 a night from Dec 1 to April 30.  Pick a weekend and book it before the snow piles up and the reservations are gone.

 Or call Cal-Neva Lodge and get the special Far West Ski Assn rates on weekday or weekend packages on the North Shore.  All include parking and a free ski shuttle to the mountains.  And don't forget to sit in the fireplace room where half the room is in California and the other half is in Nevada (hence the Cal-Neva Lodge).  Last year it was $69 a room weekdays and $89 weekends.  Check the SKIBAC.ORG   website for travel to see this year's prices.

Have you been to Idaho lately?  The March 7th trip to Coeur d'Laine will feature skiing at Schweitzer and a special boat dinner on the lake.  The lodge is right across the street from the lake.  SkierSteve@aol.com is organizing this one.  It’s available Wednesday thru Sunday for those who can't break away from the job for too long.

And then there's Whistler skiing with Far West (ask Shirly Thompson about this one), and skiing in the 3 valleys of France (near Maribel) where Pam Hampton flies in March.  POst trip to Paris makes this one a winner. 

And are you into ski racing?  Breckinridge has the big FWSA races this year at a real deal price, and then Alpine Meadows has the local BAC race finals.  Nov 10 is the "Snow Ball" in San Ramon ($65 for dinner and dancing at the Marriott) and Nov 3 and 4 is the big ski swap in San Jose at the convention center.

Can you plan ahead?  The annual FWSA ski convention is in Seattle this coming June, and right after the convention is a cruise to Alaska for 7 days for a real deal price.  All aboard, Bon Voyage, and put the photos in the album from this marvelous week.

Your club has Halloween covered, has your Christmas party deal sealed, offers you New Years again at the Monterey Yacht Club, and a host of activities all along the way.  Sure many of us love to ski.  But that doesn't mean we don't party hearty, too.  So check out the Club website, get out your calendar, and make plans to be with your friends on the big occasions all year long.  We don't disappoint.... and we want you with us!
